Company introduction

Our client is a Polish organization that bases its activity on the travel events market. Thanks to our solutions, the user can quickly, easily, conveniently and very effectively find any type of tourist event by entering any phrase into the search engine, eg "trekking in Nepal". As a consequence, it is possible to consult a given tourist event, book it and purchase it in the company's sales department.

The company is a beneficiary of EU programs - the Innovative Economy Operational Program. In the near future, the company intends to invest in the German and Russian markets.

The brand was founded in 2010 in Gdańsk and our headquarters are still located here. Our offices are located in the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park, gathering in one space the creators of innovative projects of the 21st century.

Project description

The implementation of Net PC included the design and construction of a platform for online booking of tourist offers. We wanted to find a partner who would build a system that would identify the most appropriate booking for a given client.

The heart of the project is a contextual search engine of tourist offers from 50 national tour operators. The offers sold include, among others excursions, sightseeing tours, sightseeing tours, excursions and cruises; charter and cruise air tickets and incentive events; events organized by air, coach and personal transport; reservation of flats and accommodation. The adopted search strategy is designed to a very large extent to distinguish the company from other enterprises in the area of ​​travel portals.

Moreover, the overriding goal of the system prepared by Net PC was the most effective and efficient booking search.

Our solutions

  1. We based the application environment on the DEV / TEST / PROD concept.
  2. We have made a division into separate, parallel operating environments: development, test and production.
  3. All test and development environments have been mapped to the production environment as much as possible.
  4. We used dedicated test data sources and interfaces.
  5. The application has been linked to the Central Database of Tourist Information based on the PostgreSQL engine, ensuring the integrity of facilities and functionality of relational databases

As part of the project carried out for, we managed to provide a fully interactive, modern booking platform that fully meets the needs of the company's clients. The project was very successful due to the in-depth understanding of the client's needs and requirements. The results of the implementation were the delivery of unique business value for organizational customers. The application helped the company to increase the number of bookings as well as increase its competitive advantage in the demanding market in the COVID-19 era. The end result of our work was also the improvement of many sales and business indicators for the company. IT commandos are ready for the next task in the area of developing advanced IT systems for international tourism!
